Role & Responsibilities:
Candidates selected for SSCW (Tech) and SSCW (Non-Tech) roles will undergo pre-commission training for 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai, after which they will be commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.
Their duties include:
- Leadership and Command: Officers are responsible for leading soldiers in different operations and keeping the morale and discipline of the unit.
- Operational Duties: Depending on the posting, officers may be deployed in strategic, technical, combat-support, or humanitarian missions.
- Technical Tasks: In SSCW (Tech) officers have to work on technical systems, logistics, engineering operations and equipment management.
- Administrative and Planning Functions: In this officers play a important role in training new recruits, planning unit movements, and coordinating logistics.
- Joining the Indian Army not only involves physical and mental resilience but also a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the nation.
